Overview

Drawing the same subject from multiple angles helps deepen understanding of its form and space, revealing new details and how light interacts with it. This practice improves accuracy, builds skill, and encourages creative expression by allowing exploration of different perspectives and styles. It strengthens spatial awareness and helps develop a unique artistic voice and framing.

Eye-Level

This drawing is created from eye level, reflecting the way I naturally see and experience the world around me every day. By working from this perspective, I aim to capture the authenticity of my daily visual interactions, emphasizing the familiar angles and viewpoints that shape my understanding of space and environment. This approach grounds the work in personal observation and helps communicate a sense of presence and immediacy in the scene.

Birds-Eye View

This drawing is rendered from a higher, bird’s-eye perspective, offering an elevated and somewhat detached view of the scene. The angle gives a unique sense of scale and distance, evoking the feeling of a spider perched on a wall, observing everything below with quiet curiosity.

Flat Overhead

This drawing is from the perspective of the light source above the table, which flattens the view by reducing visible depth and casting minimal shadows. This positioning emphasizes shapes and surface details, creating a more two-dimensional, graphic quality in the composition.

Dynamic

This drawing embraces the most askew and dynamic perspective, offering the most visually engaging and intriguing angle. This unique viewpoint adds energy and movement to the composition, inviting viewers to explore the subject in a fresh and compelling way. The unconventional angle challenges traditional representation and highlights the expressive potential of perspective.
