I’m Ryan. I want to make the world a simpler place.
Most of the tools people rely on at work weren’t designed with them in
mind. They’re complicated because someone else found it easier that way.
I’d rather take on that complexity myself, so the person using the
product doesn’t have to.
That’s the hard work: the research, the edge cases, the systems
underneath. When it’s done well, none of it shows. What’s left is an
experience that feels obvious, with a small moment of delight that
belongs to that product and no other.
I design creative solutions inside complex systems, for the people who
count on them: the clinician between patients, the driver at the dock,
the technician on the floor. I’m proud to do it in healthcare, where a
simpler tool can mean a faster response, a safer decision, or a few more
minutes with a patient.
